Critical Comments Tadeusz Pruszkowski (1888 - 1942) was a painter, art critic and professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He was a friend of the Fangor family and at the request of Wanda Fangorowa, in 1934, he recommended his student Tadeusz Kozłowski as the first teacher of the future painter. From 1940, he himself led Fangor's painting studies, which consisted of weekly correction sessions in a flat on Malczewskiego Street in Warsaw. These were interrupted by the tragic death of Pruszkowski, who was executed by the German occupiers in 1942.
