GNYP Gallery in collaboration with FANGOR Foundation is delighted to announce the exhibition Wojciech Fangor and His Contemporaries that will present works from artist’s estate focusing on four important phases of artist’s oeuvre: optical abstraction, Interfaces, Television Paintings and Chairs. Fangor’s works and artistic concepts will be placed in the context of international post-war movements and shifts in which the artist participated and helped shaping. Works by among others Josef Albers, Günther Uecker, Andy Warhol, Nam June-Paik, Barkley Hendriks, David Hockney will be in a dialogue with Fangor’s paintings and drawings from different periods of his artistic practice.
The opening will take place on November 18, 2023.
